I opened a website with how-tos about IT security, open source software and web publishing.

I had previously published how-to's, which contained detailed step-by-step explanations with appropriately marked screenshots. So-called foolproof How-Tos, which were well received by less experienced users. Such instructions were not exactly the rule on the internet at that time, as they were mostly written by nerds.

I collected all these manuals under a new domain 'uckanleitungen' - a pun with my name and the German word for manuals - and added some more. Especially on topics that would be difficult for inexperienced users, such as PGP email, encrypted containers or malware detection.

This domain generated good traffic, so that I was able to sell it and its content to a company later.
